St Peter's 150th Anniversary QUIZ NIGHT
This Quiz is taking place on Friday 9th October in Church, starting at 6:00 pm, with tickets costing £10 (children free) to include an Italian supper.
A full peal to mark The Church Tower's 100th Anniversary
St Peter's church was consecrated on 3rd October 1876 and then the tower on the same date in 1926.
St Peter's Choir Refreshment Day on Saturday 3rd October
The choir are having a Refreshment Day in aid of their forthcoming performances of Messiah on 18th December 2026 and Bach’s Mass in B minor on 24th March 2027.
The 'Thinking about God' discussion group
The ‘Thinking about God’ discussion group will resume on Monday 21st September. We meet every Monday from 1:30 - 3:00 pm in The Undercroft. We will be starting a study of The Acts of the Apostles.
Creationtide Walk 2026
Helen Harrison will be organising a St Peter’s Creationtide Walk, on Saturday 26th September 2026, leaving Church at 10:30 am.
Sanctuary, St Peter's Youth Group, is back!
Sanctuary usually meets during term time upstairs in the Brostoff Hall, from 5.30 – 7.00 pm on Sunday evenings. This term they are planning outdoor activities with games and a zipwire; a quiz; a baking challenge; a visit to an Escape Room - as well as the usual social evenings with food, friendship and a safe area to talk and share if you need that.
St Peter's Sunday Club returns
Our Sunday Club, which meets during our family-friendly 9:30 am service, returned last Sunday. As it is World Clean-up Day on Sunday 20th September, our Eco Church Group and Sunday Club are holding a Litter-Pick during the Family Communion service on this morning – if you and your child want to take part, then please gather in the café area at the front of Church before the start of this service to collect your gloves and bin bags!
Popular Organ Recital
Come and enjoy John Longstaff, St Peter's organist and Director of Music, playing organ music for a summer afternoon on Bank Holiday Monday 31st August at 2:00pm. Tickets £10 including a cream tea afterwards.
