Ukraine Appeal
Several individual members of St Peter’s already support Mission Possible. While we are more familiar with their work in Rwanda, Mission Possible has also worked in the Odessa area of southern Ukraine for many years. It is feared that the city will soon be under attack. Many people are now fleeing Odessa.
The Mission Possible team is helping to transport refugees to the Moldovan border crossing. Also, they are providing bedding, food, and spiritual and emotional support at the border. Mission Possible have also worked in the past few years in Moldova, so they have good contacts both sides of the border.
Mission Possible’s Eastern European Director has sent this appeal to the office here in the UK: 'We need a lot of funds to help the needs of the refugees and also, if possible, to help in the villages where we have been working. Please raise everything you can.'
If you would like to give to this appeal you can do this by:
• transferring your gift directly into the Mission Possible UK bank account - sort code 40-52-40 - account no. 00092063;
• making a donation via our website www.mpuk.org;
• or sending a cheque (payable to MPUK) to MPUK, PO Box 597, Huntingdon, Cambs PE29 9ET
There is no need to put a reference on your gift. All gifts received in the next 10 days except for regular standing orders will go to this appeal unless donors specifically request otherwise.
St Peter's Church will also be raising money for this appeal at our Refreshment Day, on Saturday 19th March from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.
