On Sunday 3rd October we are celebrating the Harvest at St Peter's. This year we will be supporting the Christian Aid Harvest Appeal and making Harvest Hampers for the housebound or elderly in our congregation. Bunches of flowers; small potted plants; jars of jam or honey; biscuits; small, wrapped cakes or fruit loaves; bars and boxes of chocolate; notelets or small cards; or fresh fruit are all needed to fill the hampers. Please bring any donations to Church on Harvest Sunday.
Sisters stronger together: united we can save lives
This year the Christian Aid Harvest Appeal focuses on Malawi in East Africa - there the combination of gender inequality, energy poverty, financial exclusion and the impacts of climate change makes life especially challenging for rural women. Women face constraints including lack of assets, limited income and restricted access to finance and credit.
