Helen Harrison was delighted to welcome twelve walkers and an adorable dog to the Creationtide Walk this year. The sun shone, and the wonderful Harrogate autumn colours were seen at their best. Again, we were able extend the '3 minute rule' and have time to walk and talk with people we may not see to talk to in Church. As planned we walked to Harlow Carr Gardens and paused at various points to listen to a variety of creation songs and hymns, not least John Rutter’s 'For the beauty of the Earth’. It was lovely that people felt able to join in and walk just as far as they could, within the time they had to commit on that day. John’s surprise arrival to join us with his bike, and bumping into Chris Ivory with his family in the Valley Gardens, is what makes our walks special, relaxed and informal, just what they are intended to be. No distance is ever too short - it is always lovely to see you. Thank you to you all!
