Why did ordinary people in the First Century decide to follow Jesus? The message of salvation, death and resurrection was neither simple nor unchallenging. And yet, the church grew rapidly and showed remarkable resilience in the face of persecution. Why? As part of 'A Place at the Table', the Revd Dr Alan Garrow, Vicar of St Peter’s Harrogate and Member of SIIBS at the University of Sheffield, explores the relationship between eating and Christian vision – and the implications for the way Christians eat and worship today.
