Will you join us and flood Harrogate with light, love and hope?
Harrogate Hub want people to get involved with the #thelightshines this Christmas and flood our town with light, love and hope – and ask others to join in too! To get involved all you need to do is to decorate one (or more) windows of your house, flat or workplace, and then leave the lights on or curtains open each evening from 18th – 31st December, so people can see your fantastic displays.
Your design can be anything you like, but please include the words '#The light shines John 1:5' somewhere in it. Designs can be as elaborate as you like, but they can equally be some strings of fairy lights or a light box!
From 18th December, all the houses or buildings taking part will be plotted onto various trails and maps and posted on our website and other social media platforms. Families and friends can then either walk or run together, trying to spot as many fantastic window displays as possible! Please share pictures on social media of your displays or other windows you come across as you walk around the trails, using the hashtag #thelightshines.
Anyone can get involved with the #lightshines initiative, no matter where you live! To register please fill out the registration form before the deadline of Friday 11th December at The Harrogate Hub website.
