St Peter's is a thriving worshipping community where, every week, we enjoy welcoming visitors and newcomers. Do come and join us - and stay for coffee afterwards.
Our usual pattern of worship is:
8:30 - 9:00 am Holy Communion - a traditional said service according to the Book of Common Prayer (BCP), followed by coffee.
9:30 - 10:25 am Family Communion - a structured but informal service for all the family with music led by the Music Group. There is Sunday Club for Primary School-aged children during term-time (but not on the First Sunday of each month). Followed by coffee.
11:00 - 12:00 noon Choral Matins - a traditional service (BCP), with St Peter's choir. On the first Sunday of the month this is BCP Choral Commmunion, followed by coffee.
4:15 - 5:00 pm Stepping Stones Service - relaxed and informal with plenty of opportunity for children to participate. Refreshments available. First Sunday of the month - Celtic Worship; second Sunday - informal Holy Communion; third Sunday - Crafternoon Church; fourth Sunday - Service of the Word.
6:30 - 7:25 pm Choral Evensong - a Cathedral style service (BCP) led by our splendid choir. On the third Sunday of the month we have Choral Communion (using contemporary language).
