Getting involved

At St Peter’s we like to provide lots of opportunities for people to get involved with us in the way that suits them best.  Whatever your age or area of interest there is a place for you to help us serve God and the community in Harrogate. Have a look at the range of activities featured in these pages and get in touch with the named contact if you want to know more.

Is God calling you?

As well as needing people to help with welcoming, visiting, with ministry to the homeless, with young people’s work and with the elderly, we also need people to be active on our Special Projects Group and on our Mission Committee. In addition to our Sunday worship we have over 20 mid-week services, and there are plenty of opportunities for: Bible readers, Communion administrants, helpers at café-style services, people to lead the prayers, preachers, sidesmen, servers of refreshments, welcomers, musicians, bell-ringers and flower-arrangers.  We also distribute over 300 parish magazines to our congregation, and are seeking more people to help with this. Can you spare an hour or two a month ?  If so, please contact Carole in the parish office.

If you feel that God is calling you to get involved with St Peter’s, please get in touch with the Vicar, Tony Shepherd.
