Handbells

The Harrogate Bellringers practise on hand bells every Thursday afternoon (2pm) at Wesley Chapel, linking up with the tower bellringers for many functions. We have a set of 28 Malmark handbells (G4 – B6) as well as a set of Shaw handbells in the tower. We ring tunes in harmony from music notation and have a wide repertoire. If we enjoy it, we ring it!

Our main objective is to enjoy ourselves and to enable people to take part in a musical activity when they might not otherwise have any opportunity to do so.

Occasionally we are invited to entertain different groups in the town. We make no charge for this, but are sometimes given a donation towards St Peter’s Breakfast Club. Our group is made up of individuals with a very wide range of musical and other abilities.   • News from the Annual General Meeting

    We are delighted to announce that Paul Medforth was elected as a Churchwarden – for the first time -alongside Sian Lockwood who was re-elected. We also welcome four returners to the Parochial Church Council (PCC): Rachel Fell, David Fisher, Oliver Longstaff and Stella Pilling.

    The Ladies who Lunch are meeting again at 12:15 pm on Wednesday 23rd May at the Palm Court Café at the bottom of Montpellier Hill.
