Christingle Services

The first Christingle service in England was at Lincoln Cathedral on 7th December 1968, when The Children's Society adopted the idea and introduced it to the Church of England. Now the Christingle collections raise millions of pounds to support The Children's Society's work with young people who are experiencing a range of complex issues, and who feel alone. They hope to bring love to the hearts of children who feel ignored, sanctuary to the lives of those who feel unsafe and peace to the minds of young people who feel like they simply don’t matter. Through Christingle, you can help give a child their first Christmas free from sadness and fear. St Peter's are holding two services this year at 3:00 and 4:30 pm on Christmas Eve.
