Creche and Toddler Group (0 – 4 years)
On Thursday mornings at 9.30am we hold a toddler group for pre-school children up to the age of four years. We begin with a story and prayer in the church, and then have a break for refreshments and play in the hall at St Peter’s Church. Do come along if you would like to join our friendly group. The leader is Frances Roxby-Proud.
Little Lights (parents and small children)
On Sunday during the 9.30 Family service parents can take their children to the Gallery where there are toys, while the service is broadcast via the sound system. Everybody rejoins the main congregation for Communion or a blessing.
Sunday School (4 – 10 years)
At the 9.30am Family Service we use a range of contemporary resources to explore Bible-based subjects and lessons in a relaxed and fun-filled atmosphere. Our Sunday School leader is Sarah Guthrie. We have three age groups – All Stars: for children in Reception class to Year 2. Trail Blazers: from school Years 3 to 5, and Tower club Year 6 and above. Sunday School children go to their classes during the first hymn, and are returned to their parents before Communion. Sunday School does not run during the school holidays.
The 10th Harrogate (St Peter’s) Rainbows meet on Tuesdays between 4pm and 5pm. We currently have 10 Rainbows aged between 5-7 years, and together we plan a term of activities, mixing fun and learning. At present we have a waiting list for entry. The leader is Mel Oliver who is contactable via the Parish Office.
The 10th Harrogate (St Peter’s) Brownies meet on Tuesdays from 5.45pm till 7pm (term-time only). The Boys’ Brigade : the adventure begins here
Our group of dedicated and dynamic leaders run a Boys’ Brigade company for 5 to 18 year olds. Our regular calendar of events includes hikes and walks, festivals and camps, sleepovers and bowling.
We believe that by engaging in exciting activities, making new friends, having fun and finding out about faith, children and young people can discover their full potential. Come and join the adventure. All groups meet on Wednesday evenings.
To secure your place and for further information, contact John Broadberry on 01423 507969 or email via our Contacts page.
