About us

Coffee and chat at St Peter's - pic 072St Peter’s is a growing church which provides different congregations with a range of worship styles in our weekly and Sunday services.  We hold 24 services throughout the week – some traditional and some contemporary – so that there can be something for everyone.

We have an active ministry which includes providing breakfast for the homeless and food parcels in the evening for those in need.

We believe that “God’s mission is the healing of his creation. Our calling is to join in with that” and our Mission Action Plan for 2015 contains three priority areas:

  • Sharing our faith with confidence
  • Strengthening our mission of hospitality and friendship
  • Resourcing and developing our young people

In April 2012 we completed our project to expand and upgrade our buildings providing community rooms and a hall so that local charities and groups can benefit from the new facilities.

  • St Peter’s Breakfast Club receives £200 from ASDA

  • News from the Annual General Meeting

    We are delighted to announce that Paul Medforth was elected as a Churchwarden – for the first time -alongside Sian Lockwood who was re-elected. We also welcome four returners to the Parochial Church Council (PCC): Rachel Fell, David Fisher, Oliver Longstaff and Stella Pilling.

  • St Peter’s Ladies who Lunch

    The Ladies who Lunch are meeting again at 12:15 pm on Wednesday 23rd May at the Palm Court Café at the bottom of Montpellier Hill.
